Journalism's Brian J. Bowe, Derek Moscato win AEJMC's Doug Newsom Award for best paper

WWU Associate Professor of Journalism Brian J. Bowe and Assistant Professor of Journalism Derek Moscato's paper, “An Appeal to Shared Values: Faith, Advocacy, and Persuasion in the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Public Relations,” co-written by Mariam Alkazemi of Virginia Commonwealth University and submitted to the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication's PR division, has won the Doug Newsom Award. 

The Doug Newsom Award is given to the top paper that fits the theme of global ethics or global diversity. The paper will be presented by Mariam at the AEJMC conference in Toronto in August.
