Pig Peace Sanctuary: Giving Through the Combined Fund Drive

The Pigs Peace Sanctuary is one of the many nonprofits Western employees support through the Washington State Combined Fund Drive (CFD). Clarissa Mansfield, a full-time staff member of Western Libraries, recently began volunteering at the Pigs Peace Sanctuary in Stanwood, and said she was thrilled to see them on the list of organizations she could donate to via the CFD.

“I saw President Randhawa’s email encouraging new CFD donations, and I immediately checked the list for the Pigs Peace Sanctuary, which is an organization near and dear to my heart” said Mansfield. “They are doing such meaningful and compassionate work. They are life-changing, both for me, and also for the pigs they rescue.”

Please consider making a $2 monthly donation to local nonprofits like this one through the CFD's automatic payroll deduction process. Find the community nonprofit that inspires you this holiday season! All you need to get started is your employee Western ID number. Contact Laurel Hammond with WWU's Center for Service-Learning to learn more about the nonprofits in our local community.

Western and our community thank you for your donation.
