English Dept.'s Theresa Warburton awarded Yale's McClintock Fellowship

Theresa Warburton, a faculty member in English and WGSS, was awarded the Walter McClintock Fellowship, a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University. She will spend one month in residence at the library looking at the papers of Laguna Pueblo writer Leslie Marmon Silko. This research is aimed at finish unearthing the transpacific dimensions of Silko's 1977 novel Ceremony in order to highlight the emergence of an indigenous approach to transnationalism in contemporary Native women's literature.
