Alfers receives grant for Holocaust Studies

Sandra Alfers, an associate professor of German in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, received a teaching grant from the Holocaust Educational Foundation (HEF) at Northwestern University to build WWU’s library collection in Holocaust Studies.

HEF was founded in 1976 by Theodore Zev Weiss, a Holocaust survivor and trained educator, with the goal of encouraging the study of the Holocaust. The foundation hosts the biennial Lessons and Legacies conferences as well as a yearly summer institute at Northwestern.
