Nominations for innovative teaching due Dec. 6

Western faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to nominate an instructor whose course work reflects this year's Innovative Teaching Showcase theme, "Blended Learning: The Best of Both Worlds."

The showcase is an online publication featuring best practices of Western's most dynamic instructors; it is created each year by the Center for Instructional Innovation and Assessment at WWU. This year's showcase seeks to honor faculty who have designed exemplar courses that capitalize on an effective blend of face-to-face and web-based instruction.

These instructors aim to:

• make the student learning experience reflective of real-world technologies and collaborations,
• explore innovative uses of both student and instructor time,
• build digital citizenship or information literacy components into coursework, and
• provide equitable opportunities for interaction, feedback, and engagement.

Use the showcase nomination form by Dec. 6 to share your ideas of whom should be featured in this year's publication.
