The meetings of the Western Washington University Board of Trustees are audiocast live. The next meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. To listen to the audiocast, click here. The Board of Trustees also is scheduled to meet at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11. That meeting also will be audiocast.

Two H1N1 vaccination clinics will be offered this week. The Whatcom County Health Department has removed the restrictions on the vaccine, so it’s now available to all current WWU students and staff.

The clinics will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, both at the Student Health Center, located on the second floor of the Campus Services building.

The folks at ATUS sent out a reminder this morning to be on the lookout for fraudelent e-mail messages that ask for personal information. Members of the WWU community should never give out their personal information in an e-mail.

The President’s Office has posted the following policy for 30-day campus review:

POL-U1000.15 Administering the State Employee Whistleblower Act

The proposed policy is a new policy. The policy will notify staff of their Whistleblower rights, explain how the university will administer the Act, and establish authorities for maintaining compliance.

Miller Hall phone service has been disrupted due to a major cable cut. The contractor has dispatched technicians to resolve the problem. Phone service in Miller Hall may be out for the remainder of the work day.

Students pursuing lawyer careers can apply for the Harold and Lyla Lant Pre Law Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to the most qualified student in the 2009-2010 school year. Applications are available now in the Academic Advising Center, Old Main Room 380. Applications are due by Jan. 15, 2010.
