Zero Waste Western, a program of the Office of Sustainability, will host the Post Landfill Action Network’s Points of Intervention Tour on Tuesday, May 8. There will be multiple workshops offered throughout the day, followed by a People of Color Caucus hosted in partnership with the Ethnic Student Center and a main speaker series. Guest speakers include Junior Walk, Amira Odeh-Quinones, Pashon Murray, and more.

The workshop and speaker series will focus on engaging students in being a part of creating change on campus and in our community.

The mission of the tour is threefold:

•             Highlight the people, companies, and movements that are challenging the Linear Consumption Economy, and intervening at points along a wasteful and unjust system to build a better model,

•             Empower young people to realize their individual skills and passions as essential parts of a collective solution,

•             Spread the message that “Nobody Can Do Everything, But Everybody Can Do Something”. Together, we can fix a broken system.
