WWU's Huxley College of the Environment kicking off 50th Anniversary with pair of celebrations

This coming year we will be celebrating 50 years since Huxley College of the Environment was created as the world’s first interdisciplinary environmental college and we would like you to join us at one of our upcoming events in Seattle and Bellingham to celebrate this milestone.

The Huxley 50th Anniversary is an important opportunity to look back on our history, celebrate our achievements and take a bold step into the next 50 years. The celebration corresponds with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

We will unveil the schedule of events for the year, including a preview of scheduled speakers and a sneak peek at the interactive alumni projects that will be a part of the celebration. You will enjoy a no-host bar, hors d’oeuvres, birthday cake, and the great company of fellow Huxley alumni and friends. The first two events are as follows:

Huxley 50th Anniversary, Seattle Kickoff event: From 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center, 7700 Sand Point Way N.E., in Seattle. Click here to register.

Huxley 50th Anniversary, Bellingham Kickoff event: From 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 at Twin Sisters Brewing Company, 500 Carolina St., in Bellingham. Click here to register.

We hope you can join us,

Steven Hollenhorst
