WWU's Costello to speak on making use of student interns at WCN meeting Thursday

Tim Costello, director of the Center for Service-Learning at Western Washington University, will discuss during a Thursday seminar how organizations can recruit students as interns, volunteers, or from service-learning classes at WWU; and how to work with student volunteers to ensure a successful experience for all.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Student Recruitment
• Volunteer marketing strategies for college campuses
• Community work study positions
• Student incentives
• Differences between service-learning and internships

Costello's presentation begins at noon April 14 at the Whatcom Community Foundation office at 119 Grand Ave, Suite A, in Bellingham.
