WWU's Community Engagement Fellows to Co-Host 'Learning Through Place from the Start' Sept. 20

Dear CE Fellows and Friends,

We invite you to Learning Through Place from the Start on Friday, Sept. 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Geneva Elementary School in Bellingham.

This event is being co-hosted by Geneva Elementary School and Community Engagement Fellows.

Learning Through Place from the Start is open to all who share the vision of building rich place-based learning opportunities for people in the early years of life and schooling.

We hope to include early childhood and P-12 educators as well as people working in tribal and non-tribal governments, higher education, non-governmental organizations, and other organizations working for the common good.

The event will be an active social learning space following the Community Engagement Fellows model. This approach generates relationship-building and knowledge-acquisition about each other's work, and reveals opportunities for collaboration. Activities will include paired conversations, design clinics (click here for a description), and other energizing group activities.
