WWU Women's Hoops Participates in Race for Change

The Western Washington University Women's Basketball program is participating in a Race for Change, joining several collegiate basketball programs across the nation.

The mission of this project is to work together to Stride for Justice and to create sustainable change in the community. The program is taking strides for justice and needs your help. All money will benefit the Northwest Justice Project. The program will be hosting a Virtual 5K where participants can walk, run or bike to help support this cause from October 15-18.

In light of recent and historical racial injustices, perpetuated through both violent and subtle means on black communities, the WWU Women's Basketball program is committed to make sustainable and permanent changes in our spheres of influence.

The program has a goal of raising $1,500 for the Northwest Justice Project with a Go Fund Me page currently setup, with donations 100% tax deductible.
