WWU to observe Sexual Assault Awareness Month throughout April

Western’s Counseling and Wellness Center invites you to join us in observing Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) throughout the month of April.

SAAM is a month devoted to raising awareness about sexual violence, educating communities on how to prevent it, and promoting prevention efforts throughout the year. We take this time to honor survivors and inspire people to take action to end sexual violence.

Stop by our table in Red Square for our kick-off event this Friday, April 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., to learn about our upcoming events and to pick up a teal SAAM ribbon, Believe Survivors pin, SAAM coloring pages, and more!

Follow our @bewellwwu Instagram account for special Instagram Live SAAM events and Wellness Advocate takeovers, and visit cwc.wwu.edu/saam for a calendar of events and to learn more.

Every person deserves to be treated with love, dignity and respect. If you are a Western student who is experiencing or has experienced relationship abuse, sexual violence, stalking or harassment, you are not alone and support is available through Western's Survivor Advocacy Services, a program of the Counseling and Wellness Center.
