WWU to Host Wellness Wednesdays through March 11 and Beat the Blues Jan. 23

WWU’s Counseling Center to host Wellness Wednesdays each week until March 11 at the Miller Hall Collaborative Space from 3-4 p.m.

This program is free and open to students and staff to further discuss mental health, well-being and learning to cope.

Each Wednesday will feature different topics to discuss with staff from the Counseling Center such as self-care, stress management and self-compassion to name a few. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with experts to spread well-being around campus.

WWU’s Counseling Center will also host their annual Beat the Blues wellness fair from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. on Thursday, Jan 23 in the VU Multipurpose Room.

This event is free and open to students, staff and faculty.

Beat the Blues allows students to receive a free SAD/Depression screening with further consultation with counselors. In addition, attendees can interact with pet therapy dogs, engage in art therapy, sign-up for 15-minute massages, enjoy free food and learn more about campus resources.
