WWU to Host Seventh Annual Graduate Student Symposium May 10

Western Washington University will host its seventh annual Graduate Student Symposium from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 in the Wilson Library reading room.

The Symposium is an opportunity for Western graduate students to share their scholarship, research and creative projects with the broader Western community and the public.

Graduate students from all departments are encouraged to present through a variety of mediums, including oral and poster presentations, with an option to participate in the Lightning Session. The Lightning Session is a presentation format that challenges participants to present their work in just three minutes, and in an engaging format that can be understood by an intelligent audience with no background in the presenter’s field of interest.

To present at the symposium, students must submit an abstract through Western’s Contributing to Education through Digital Access to Research (CEDAR) website at https://cedar.wwu.edu/grad_conf/ with a priority deadline of April 16th. Students will be accepted based upon presentation readiness.

The symposium is sponsored by Western’s Graduate school, the University Libraries, the Student and Enrollment Services and the University Foundation
