WWU to Host PACCAR Career Day Oct. 30

Students are invited to participate in the fourth annual PACCAR Career Day at Western Washington University on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Representatives from multiple divisions of PACCAR will be on campus throughout the day. PACCAR will also be parking one of its trucks near the Communication Lawn for the day.

PACCAR representatives will be tabling in the lobby of the Academic Instructional Center West from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. answering questions about internships, jobs, the divisions of PACCAR and the company’s industry and products, as well as reviewing resumes for interested students. Students are encouraged to come with their materials to gather feedback, network with PACCAR professionals and ask other questions about the recruiting and hiring process. Prepared candidates may be offered same day interviews for current openings.

Students from all majors are invited to connect with the company and to take advantage of this unique opportunity on campus. PACCAR is the second largest heavy truck manufacturer in the nation and is a top employer of Western graduates. With a factory, research center and parts distribution center in Renton, its Kenworth unit in Kirkland and its state-of-the-art wind tunnel in Skagit County, the company employs roughly 2,500 people in Washington State.

While on campus, PACCAR will be holding a discussion with faculty and staff over lunch as well as engaging with a variety of student clubs on campus.

This event is being brought to campus by the University Advancement Corporate & Foundation Relations Team and the Career Services Center.
