WWU to Host PACCAR Career Day Nov. 8

Students are invited to participate in the second annual PACCAR Career Day at Western Washington University on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018. Several representatives from multiple divisions at PACCAR will be on campus throughout the day, offering opportunities to learn about the company. PACCAR will also be parking one of its trucks on the Communication Lawn for the day.

PACCAR representatives will be tabling in the lobby of the Academic West Instructional Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. answering questions about internships, jobs, the divisions of PACCAR and the company’s industry and products, as well as reviewing resumes for interested students. Students are encouraged to come with their materials to gather feedback, network with PACCAR professionals and ask other questions about the recruiting and hiring process.

Students from all majors are invited to connect with the company and its representatives and to take advantage of this unique opportunity on campus. PACCAR is the second largest heavy truck manufacturer in the nation and is a top employer of Western graduates. With a factory, research center and parts distribution center in Renton, its Kenworth unit in Kirkland and its state-of-the-art wind tunnel in Skagit County, the company employs roughly 2,500 people in Washington State.

While on campus, PACCAR will be holding a discussion with student leaders over lunch as well as engaging in strategic conversations with campus faculty and staff at the end of their day.

This event is being brought to campus by the University Advancement Corporate & Foundation Relations Team and the Career Services Center.
