WWU to hold business career fair Nov.6

Job seekers looking for ways to connect directly with employers are invited to attend Western Washington University’s Fall Business Career Fair, which will take place from 1 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6 in the MAC Gym of the Wade King Student Recreation Center.

Admission to the fair is free and open to the public.

Co-sponsored by Western’s College of Business and Economics and Career Services Center, the Business Career Fair provides valuable opportunities for students and alumni of all majors to explore internship and employment possibilities with a large number of diverse organizations.

For those who may be uncertain about their career goals or options, the Business Career Fair is an excellent resource for conducting job market research with participating companies and organizations such as: Boeing, Cambia Health Solutions, Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Expedia, KeyBank, Pacific Customs Brokers, Peace Corps, Physio-Control, Samson Rope, Tableau Software, Target, Trane, US Department of State, Vitech Business Group, West Monroe Partners and many more.

In conjunction with the fair, the Career Services Center in partnership with the Alumni Association will be hosting a pre-fair event, “Ask an Alum: Career Conversations with Viking Alumni,” offering students and alumni the opportunity to connect and discuss career paths and preparation. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 5th in the AIC. The event is free and participants may register online via the Alumni Association at http://www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/WWH/.

To make the most of the fair, job seekers should research participating companies in advance, dress in professional business attire, and bring lots of resumes.
