WWU to celebrate its first-gen students at virtual event on Nov. 8

SAVE THE DATE!  Western Washington University proudly supports the experiences of first-generation students. Our campus is joining colleges and universities throughout the nation to participate in the National First-Generation College Celebration on Nov. 8

This year’s event will be offered virtually from 3:30-4:30 p.m. (PST) via Zoom. Join us in advancing an asset-based national narrative on first-generation student experiences and outcomes. We encourage everyone to celebrate the success of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff on our campus in any and every way possible.

Western's program will include remarks from President Sabah Randhawa, a land acknowledgment from Laural Ballew, and personal narratives from our first-generation student panel.
