WWU Spring Career Fair set for April 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Handshake

Students and graduates looking for jobs and internships are invited to participate in Western Washington University’s Virtual Spring Career Fair taking place on Thursday April 29th from 11AM-3:00PM PST.  To have a successful event experience, it is essential that students/alumni pre-register and build their schedule of 1:1 and group session timeslots in advance.  It’s also helpful to research participating companies, jobs and internships featured in Handshake or an employers website, and prepare quick discussion points to highlight interests and qualifications.  Over 45 employers have registered and built schedules of 1:1 and group time slots to discuss internships, jobs and network with Western Students and Alumni!   The event will be hosted within the newly launched Handshake platform, to which all students and alumni have free lifetime access.

The Spring Career Fair provides valuable opportunities for students and alumni of all majors to explore internship and employment possibilities with many diverse organizations.  This event typically  features  employers hiring from all industries and seeking to connect with graduating seniors from a variety of majors.   For those who may be uncertain about their career goals or options, the Career Fair is an excellent resource for conducting job market research with participating companies and organizations such as: Applied Medical, Miracle Food Network, Sedro-Woolley School District, SPIE, Washington State Patrol,  Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife, Bader Martin and more.

For information about how to access the fair or what to expect, please visit the Career Services Center events page.  If you have questions about Handshake, we’ve created a student/staff/faculty Handshake Hub, or contact Britta Eschete at 360-650-2944 or britta.eschete@wwu.edu.
