WWU professors to discuss Utah's national parks at March 16 event

“Exploring Utah’s National Parks: Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches” is the topic of the WWU Retirement Association’s travelogue on Wednesday, March 16, at the Squalicum Yacht Club. Social hour at 6:30; presentation at 7.

Evelyn Ames, a professor emeritus from WWU's PEHR Department, and Chris Suczek, an associate professor of Geology, will spend the evening describing the colorful national parks of southern Utah and teaching about the interesting geological formations, such as the Colorado Plateau, Escalente and the hoo doos of Bryce Canyon, that contribute to the spectacular scenery in that area. Restaurant and accommodation suggestions will be shared. Guests are welcome.
