WWU Police seek public’s help to identify body found on campus

Western Washington University Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man whose body was found at about 2:10 p.m. on March 5, 2020 in a wooded area north of the Buchanan Towers North Residence Hall on Western’s main campus in Bellingham.

The deceased is pictured in this photo, shown at right, leaving the Walgreens on Samish Way in Bellingham after making a purchase at 10:24 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, He is described as a caucasian male in his 20s, and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds.

The Whatcom County Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be a suicide. University officials do not believe the deceased was a current Western student. The deceased had no identification on him when his body was found and fingerprints have not turned up a match in police databases.
