WWU participating in Friday's Downtown Art Walk

Western Washington University will participate in the Downtown Bellingham Art walk on Friday, Aug. 3, with both a showing at its downtown City Center location and shuttle to campus for a tour of the Outdoor Sculpture Collection.

WWU City Center (6-8 p.m.)

Shuttle to WWU Outdoor Sculpture Tour (7-8 p.m.)

Take a FREE SHUTTLE from the parking lot across the street from Western City Center/Herald Building and get a personalized tour of Western’s award winning Outdoor Sculpture Collection. Join Hafthor Yngvason, the director of the Western Gallery, to explore Western’s Outdoor Sculpture Collection which has twice been selected as one of 10 most important university campus collections in the country. View major work by distinguished contemporary American and European sculptors of the late 20th century to the present. The shuttle departs downtown at 7 p.m. and arrives at the Performing Arts Center where guests will be greeted by Hafthor; at 8 p.m., guests will ride back downtown for the remainder of the Art Walk.
