WWU Industrial design students win prestigious GRAY Award

​WWU Industrial Design students were honored on Nov. 29 at the 2017 GRAY Awards in Seattle with a first place award in the Student Design Open Category for "Cube^3." The annual awards are produced by GRAY Magazine, one of the leading design publications in the Pacific Northwest.

The student design team -- Lisa Collander, Linsey Gardner, Joe Han, Julian Hein, Matthew Hoogestraat, Ellen Huynh, Kenji Kimura, Noah Lanphear, Aiden Lee, Josh Pehrson, Sam Weaver, and Kevin White -- were advised by WWU Professor of Industrial Design Arunas Oslapas.

There were more than 363 submissions for its inaugural year, and five finalists in the Student Design Category
