WWU faculty members to discuss how telling stories can advance academic literacy

Western Washington University faculty panelists Joyce Hammond (Anthropology), Julia Sapin (Art History), Maryann Reynolds (Accounting) and Rosemary Vohs (Woodring and Communication) will share how they've used storytelling in their varying contexts to advance students' academic literacy, especially in terms of writing proficiency, at the "Story Telling as an Academic Literacy Practice" from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, April 12, in the Wilson Library Skybridge.

Attendees will have the opportunity to suggest additional ways storytelling might be used in teaching.
