WWU employees who reduce driving this month can get Amtrak coupons, win travel prizes

WWU employees who walk, bicycle, share a ride or ride the bus to work at least twice from Oct. 18 to 31 and enter the Fall state-wide Wheel Options promotion could win a trip to Rome for two, including airfare, lodging and a Rick Steves Best of Rome seven-day tour.

Every WWU staff or faculty employee who participates by logging at least two non-drive-alone trips to work between Oct. 18 and 31 will receive a two-for-one Amtrak Cascades coupon to use through next May.

In addition to the cash grand prize, there are more than 20 other prizes, including a weekend getaway with Victoria Clipper and merchant gift cards.

Enter online at http://www.wheeloptions.org or log your work trips for Oct. 18 to 31 at http://www.whatcomsmarttrips.org. Doing so automatically enters you for Wheel Options prizes. Paper entry forms are also available at Facilities Management and by request from any department or individual employee. Departments can request a poster for the Wheel Options promotion or the Whatcom SmartTrips program. Paper entry forms must be returned to Transportation Services at mailstop 9197 by Nov. 2.
