WWU Community Dialogue Series: Exploring Rank, Power and Status

The Faculty Senate Social Justice & Equity Committee presents the WWU Community Dialogue Series "Skills for Social Justice: Exploring Rank, Power and Status with Leticia Nieto" Thursday, Feb. 22, 4 to 6 p.m. in the Miller Hall collaborative space near Miller Market. 

Leticia Nieto, Psy.D., LMFT author of Beyond Inclusion, Beyond Empowerment: A Developmental Strategy to Liberate Everyone, is coming to Western Washington University.

Nieto's work focuses on rank, power and status. She offers a powerful analysis of the psychological dynamics of oppression and privilege, and shows audiences how to develop the skills that can promote social justice for themselves and those around them. This workshop will include the first hour of understanding the approach and the second hour is devoted to participating in the practice.
