Writing More Effective Proposals workshop set for Wednesday, Oct. 26

Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) is pleased to once again offer workshops designed to help faculty and staff write more effective proposals to external agencies.   Workshops will provide information and support to faculty and staff in a number of research related areas.  A variety of workshops are offered each quarter.  The sessions are intended to be interactive and are meant to build a community for those involved in writing proposals.

Our third workshop will take place on October 26th from 12-1pm in VU460.  Tracey Finch will lead the discussion, and she will cover the ins and outs of budget creation.  Using WWU’s standard budget template, attendees will create a budget.  Attendees should come prepared to create a budget of their own including sample costs and salaries.

Our fall quarter workshop series will conclude on November 2nd. The topics of the final workshop for the quarter will be research participant compliance presented by Janai Symons, and lab safety presented by Sue Sullivan.  It will take place at noon in VU462A.

Graduate students and all faculty are encouraged to attend.  If you would like to be added to the email list for workshop information, please contact the RSP Program Coordinator, Coco Besson, at coco.besson@wwu.edu.
