Wilson Library elevator to be upgraded June 12-August 31

The west elevator in Wilson Library will be out of service from June 12 through the end of August while Zeigler Construction modernizes infrastructure and controls. The east elevator (further down the hallway) will remain in operation, as well as the other elevators in Wilson Library and Haggard Hall.

On Monday, June 12, Zeigler Construction will block off the hallway from the west elevator (outside of room #170 Map Collection) to the loading dock outside of room #171 while they remove existing elevator components. Room #170 will not be accessible from the hallway. The area will be blocked off for approximately three days to one week. Expect noise and vibration in the building; the contractor will mitigate these impacts as much as possible. After components are removed, the construction area will be reduced and the hallway will be reopened.

If emergency deliveries must be made from the loading dock, contact Sherrie Montgomery at least 24 hours ahead of time and access to the hallway can be arranged.
