Western's new web purchasing system gets a name

Western Washington University's new eProcurement site finally has a name: Western Marketplace.

The name was selected from entries submitted to a contest held earlier this year by Business Services and the eProcurement Project Team.

Kate Stevenson, a program manager in New Student Services / Family Outreach, won a Samsung Galaxy X4 tablet for submitting the winner.

Second place (and a Microsoft Wireless Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Kit) went to Jeff Bates, a program support supervisor in the Viking Union, for his submission "WesternBuys." Third place (and a Microsoft HD-3000 LifeCam) went to Business and Financial Systems IT specialist Susan Banton, who submitted "Western eGalleria."

The new Western Marketplace web ordering solution will allow WWU faculty and staff to browse online catalogs and purchase using an online shopping capability.
