Western's Net Impact club awarded gold status by its parent organization

Western's Associated Students Net Impact club has recently been awarded gold status by its parent organization. Net Impact is a global organization that encourages the integration of business and sustainability. Western has joined many other universities as an undergraduate chapter of Net Impact, dedicated to campus and community "greening" through innovative, sustainable actions. The club offers its members opportunities to make an impact both locally and nationally, network with community members and business owners, and expand their skill set through relevant experiences.

According to the CEO, Peter Lupoff, “Gold status recognizes the most outstanding chapters in the Net Impact community, which includes more than 400 chapters in 45 countries around the world. Gold chapters go above and beyond in their activities and play an integral role in helping the Net Impact community achieve our mission to build a more just and sustainable world. Chapters achieve Gold status by meeting a rigorous set of requirements based on their activities, programming, membership, and community contributions, which is especially impressive this year given the impacts of COVID.”
