Western Washington University’s Professional and Continuing Education Announces Corporate Giving Course

Western Washington University’s Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) is proud to offer a non-credit course in Corporate Giving, starting in March.

Taught by the founder and CEO of the Corporate Giving Network (CGN), Joy Stephens, the Corporate Giving program is designed for any community member wanting to gain the skills necessary to become a successful fundraiser. Through an interactive and comprehensive study of the ways in which companies of all sizes give back to their communities by partnering with nonprofits, the course provides participants insight for successfully securing support from the business community with ease and certainty. The six-week program, beginning on Mar. 24, 2022, is hosted virtually, with convenient 2-hour Thursday classes. Participants earn 2 CEUs upon completion.

“Each of the six classes will be unique,” stated Stephens. “We’ll focus on the five components of Corporate Giving – corporate philanthropy, sponsorship, employee volunteerism, workplace giving and cause-related marketing. The last session will cover skills you need to be successful. If you work for a nonprofit and your job involves building your corporate donors and sponsors, if you’re interested in pursuing this career path, or if you’re a board member, then this course is ideal for you.”

The discounted early bird and alumni registration rate of $825 is available until Feb. 24. The regular registration rate is $995. Stephens will be joined in each class by subject matter experts. For more information on Corporate Giving, visit pce.wwu.edu.
