Western updates smoking policy

The Smoking and Using Vaporizing Devices policy has been approved by President’s Cabinet following a 30-day campus review period. This is a revised policy. Significant changes include:

  • Deletion of designated smoking areas on campus
  • Use of vaporizing devices is prohibited within 25 feet of the following areas:
    • Building entrances and exits
    • Building windows that open
    • Ventilation intakes that serve an enclosed area inside university buildings
