Western Students to Provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Through April 15

Western Washington University students, along with community volunteers and tax counselors, will offer free tax assistance through April 15 at Parks Hall 336.

Sponsored by Western’s Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Society in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program aims to assist low-to-moderate income taxpayers in preparing their tax returns.

Western’s VITA will be open three days a week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 4:15 – 7:15 p.m. starting on Tuesday, Feb. 18 and running through March 9, as well as Monday, March 30 through Wednesday April 15.
