Western staffers distribute 500 'Good Neighbor' door hangers in the York neighborhood

Western's offices of Off Campus Living and Community Relations worked with the city of Bellingham, Bellingham Police and the York Neighborhood Association to hang 500 flyers at homes in the York Neighborhood. The flyers welcome students to the neighborhood and provide tips on being a good neighbor and connecting with the community, along with information about Bellingham's local laws and how to properly dispose of belongings when they move out.

The York Neighborhood has Bellingham's highest percentage of rental units and is home to many Western students. The university is working in partnership with the York Neighborhood and community agencies to help Western students live independently off campus.
