Western committed to preventing discrimination
Western Washington University is committed to preventing and responding to issues of discrimination, including sex discrimination and sexual violence.
Sue Guenter-Schlesinger, vice provost for Equal Opportunity & Employment Diversity and Title IX and ADA coordinator, sent a message to WWU faculty and staff Thursday morning outlining the issues.
"No form of sexual violence, including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, or stalking, is tolerated at Western," she wrote.
She also included information about resources and employee responsibilities regarding these issues:
- Letter outlining resources and reporting options for you, as well as for students, with respect to sexual violence.
- Policy 1600.02 “Ensuring Equal Opportunity and Prohibiting Discrimination and Retaliation.”
- Policy 1600.04 “Preventing and Responding to Sex Discrimination, Including Sexual Misconduct.”
- Procedure 1600.02A, “Discrimination Complaint Procedure.”
