Wellness Program continues offerings throughout summer quarter
Registration is now open for the summer quarter faculty and staff Wellness Program exercise classes.
Summer exercise classes:
- Register for classes using the program's new online registration system.
- Classes for everyone from beginning exercisers to advanced fitness gurus.
- Some changes have been made for summer. The pograms page contains all the details on the program's diverse offerings and quality instructors.
Other program information:
- New for summer quarter: Free self-defense workshop. This one-hour course will be taught by Western's own Rob Eis.
- The Lunch 'n' Learn lecture series continues through the summer. Send ideas for future topics to wellness@wwu.edu.
- The next session in the Nutrition Seminar Series with nutritionist Sarah Richey will be 1 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Humanities Room 210 on the topic: "Deciphering Food Labels - No wonder we're confused!" Past sessions are available for viewing online.
- Western has been designated as a Platinum Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for the second year in a row.
- The Faculty & Staff Wellness Program was honored with Seattle Business Magazine's Leaders in Health Care Sliver Award for Outstanding Wellness Program in 2013.
- Faculty and staff may enjoy and contribute to the Western Employees in Action and Testimonials pages.
