Washington Campus Compact wins 2017 CLAWS Award

The 2017 Organizational CLAWS Award, presented by the Washington Consortium for the Liberal Arts to individuals and organizations for advancing the value of the liberal arts, was recently given to the Washington Campus Compact (WCC) for its effort to bring theory to practice by promoting creative opportunities for service learning and, by doing so, to allow students to help solve important community problems.

Washington Campus Compact, based at Western Washington University, is a coalition of higher education institutions committed to advancing the public purpose of colleges and universities, educating students for civic and social responsibility, and working in partnerships to cultivate vital and sustainable communities across the state. For more information on the WCC or its mission, contact WCC director Jennifer Hine at 650-7312 or jennifer.hine@wwu.edu.
