Vassdal-Ellis to present on art research May 3

Elsi Vassdal-Ellis, a professor of art at Western Washington University, will present “From Al Mutanabbi Street (Baghdad) to 23rd and Sandy (Portland)” at noon on Thursday, May 3, in Communications Facility Room 105.

Her presentation is part of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs faculty research series, the purpose of which is to provide opportunities to learn about research, its publication and the direction it's taking in various disciplines and cross disciplinary areas of the university. Presentations underscore the importance of research development and creative efforts by members of the university community. They are facilitated by faculty members (or teams) who currently or recently have been involved in substantial research or research and development projects including creative efforts.

Vassdall-Ellis' presentation, like all in this research series, is free and open to the public. A complete schedule for the 2011-12 school year is online at http://www.wwu.edu/rsp/rsppresentations.pdf.
