Updates needed by June 3 for employee Diversity Handbook

The Equal Opportunity Office is in the process of compiling an update of Western's Diversity Handbook. This handbook allows colleagues across campus to better understand and be able to more effectively collaborate on diversity efforts. It also serves as a useful recruitment tool in our efforts to recruit prospective faculty, staff and students.

The latest edition of the Diversity Handbook included many outstanding initiatives, programs, courses and activities that highlight Western's commitment to a diverse and inclusive campus. A total of 303 entries are contained in the latest edition, reflecting the comprehensiveness of Western's outstanding diversity endeavors. In order to get a clear idea of the format, you can view a copy of the latest edition of the Diversity Handbook on the EOO website. Also available at the above link is the submission form for new entries to the handbook.

The EOO office would like to hear from folks engaged in diversity efforts through classes, programs, activities, initiatives or projects so they can be sure to include that important work in the updated Diversity Handbook. Please note that submissions must be emailed to the EO Office at EOO@wwu.edu by Monday, June 3.
