Providing meaningful feedback helps build strong connections between students, content, and instructors. Drawing on her experience teaching mathematics online through the pandemic, Professor Rebecca Borowski (Mathematics) will share strategies for providing feedback to students via online courses (including asynchronous, synchronous, and hybrid modalities), as well as face-to-face and blended online/face-to-face courses. Participants will also have opportunities to share their own ideas and success stories.

Creating Authentic Learning Experiences, Thursday, June 3, 11 a.m.-noon, presented by Meg Weber

Add to calendar (download ICS file and open with Outlook) or RSVP via email.
Our students are struggling, and maybe you are, too. Along with the heavy challenges we are facing, many of our students will begin their post-graduation life with limited networking and support options. By designing authentic and meaningful learning into their courses, faculty can foster these connections. Meg Weber (Entrepreneurship & Innovation) will discuss situating problem-based learning in local projects, deepening connections with alumni and community, and creating bridges for your students' boldest connection hopes and dreams.

Recordings and resources for these events will be available on the TLCo-op: Teaching & Learning Cooperative self-enroll Canvas course. The site includes the recent and popular event entitled, Through Students' Eyes: Anti-racist Concepts for the Classroom - presented by Karen Dade which also references Dr. Tara Perry’s recent presentation, Centering Online Assignments on Anti-racism.
