Pre-proposals due to deans: Tuesday, June 29

Applications will be available in early May for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Stipend program. The program aims to stimulate new research in the humanities and its publication. The award amount is $6,000. As interest in the NEH Summer Stipend program may exceed the allowable number of submissions per institution, tenured and tenure-track faculty should prepare a pre-proposal for review and selection (proposals are due to your dean by June 29th).  Western-affiliated scholars who are not in tenured or tenure-track positions may submit applications directly to NEH and are not required to go through Western’s selection process.
