U Drives unavailable for some faculty, staff

Yesterday morning, ATUS experienced an unexpected service outage that is preventing access to the U: Drive (MyFiles and MyWeb) for some Western Washington University faculty and staff. Technical Services staff have determined that a virtual disk failure caused the outage, and the data must be moved to a new virtual disk before service can be restored. This process takes time because of the amount of data involved, and as of this morning an estimated time of completion is still not possible.

If you are able to access your U: Drive at this time, then your U: Drive is not on the affected server. If you are not able to access your U: Drive, then you may need to log off and logon again after we announce that service has been restored.
