Three policies posted for campus review through Dec. 14

The following policies are available for comment for 30-day campus review through Dec. 14:

Academic Affairs - Provost’s Office:

The above policy is a new policy. It applies to a WWU employee, student or advisory board member wishing to nominate a person for an honorary WWU doctoral degree.

Business and Financial Affairs – Human Resources:

The above policy is a new policy. This policy applies to all employees who are entitled to accrue sick and/or vacation leave and for whom accurate leave records are maintained.

The above policy is a new policy. This policy applies to all state employees who are entitled to accrue sick leave or vacation leave and for whom accurate leave records are maintained. It is specifically addressing the Uniformed Shared Leave Pool.

The draft policies were reviewed by groups and individuals across campus and revised to reflect their input.  A 30-day comment period is required prior to the final draft review by the President’s Cabinet.  The policies were first posted on Nov. 15 and will remain posted through Dec. 14. The campus community is encouraged to review these documents and provide comments. Written comments may be sent to policies@wwu.edu or to the University Policy Coordinator at mail stop 9015.
