The Daily Show's Trevor Noah to speak to college students across the U.S., including WWU, tonight

Trevor Noah is participating in a broadcast event sponsored by the  NSLS-WWU chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success.

The event will be today, March 28  at 5:30 p.m. in MH 138, and is free to all students, staff and faculty. Co-sponsors are Associated Students, LEADS program, and the Karen W. Morse Institute of Leadership.  The event will be streamed live and hosted by New Jersey City University in Jersey City, N.J. All viewers are invited to submit questions via Twitter and Facebook, which will be answered live during the broadcast.

Trevor Noah is the current host of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning The Daily Show on Comedy Central.  Noah’s first book, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, became an instant New York Times bestseller.  The book is a collection of personal stories about growing up in South Africa during apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that came with its demise.  Noah turns his focus inward, giving readers an intimate look at the world that shaped him.  Noah will be sharing lessons learned from his personal experiences and offering advice to students for identifying and following their passions.

This is WWU’s last livestream installment of the 2016-2017 multi-speaker broadcast series sponsored by NSLS-WWU. The Society’s Speaker Broadcast series, which reaches more than 540 college campuses each month during the academic year, is designed to support The National Society of Leadership and Success’s overall mission of Building Leaders Who Make a Better World.
