Tech group to look at plagiarism detection tools today

The Learning Technology Group at Western Washington University meets at noon Thursday, May 2, to discuss plagiarism and plagiarism detection. The meeting is in Miller Hall Room 156.

This monthly discussion aimed at increasing our campus-wide understanding and use of technology as a teaching tool. All Western faculty, staff, and interested students are welcome to attend.

The focus of this session will address plagiarism and plagiarism detection tools with an emphasis on using TurnItIn to generate “originality reports” from student works. The Learning Technology Group at Western seeks to engage faculty in implementing and evaluating new technologies for teaching.
