Sustainable Dinner in campus dining commons is today at 5

In a nod to Earth Day, University Dining Services will serve its annual Sustainable Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in all three resident dining commons at Western Washington University.

The menu, which features locally and sustainably grown foods, is available online.

During the Sustainable Dinner, students will help "weigh the waste" by scraping their plates into Dining Services' compost bins. This impactful event gives everyone a look at how quickly food waste can add up. Additionally, during the dinner, Students for Sustainable Foods will have information tables in each of the dining commons, sharing about a proposed Student Co-Op and other information on local food.
