Summer Public Works Construction Projects Town Hall April 28

Spring has finally arrived, but the Facilities Development & Capital Budget Office (FDCB) has already spent months gearing up for the usual summer construction season which starts in mid-June. Most projects are complete prior to fall quarter.

Project managers will present project descriptions, scheduling, construction impacts and safety concerns on Friday, April 28, from noon to 1 p.m. in Haggard Hall 253.

After two years of construction, Carver’s transformation is approaching completion. Finishing touches to the interior and sitework/landscaping will continue through spring/summer prior to full occupancy for fall quarter. Parking improvements will close the remaining gravel C-Parking Lots on south campus (adjacent to Bill McDonald Parkway) as well as Parking Lot 14G (south of College Hall and north of Highland Lounge). Other projects include repairs to the Birnam Wood decks (balconies), elevator and transformer upgrades in academic buildings, and Phase II Renovation at Ridgeway Gamma.

We will post the presentation on the FDCB website for those unable to attend the town hall.
