Summer construction projects to be previewed at May 21 meeting

The Western Washington University community may preview summer construction projects on campus at a town hall meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, in Haggard Hall Room 253.

Project managers from the Office of Facilities Development and Capital Budget will present updated information and details gained since the February town hall meeting. Projects located in the core of campus will be highlighted and, if time allows, other projects with fewer potential impacts will be reviewed. Project scope, scheduling, construction impacts and safety concerns will be discussed.

Construction for most of these projects will begin in mid-June, after commencement.

A PDF of the February presentation is available online. The May presentation will be posted shortly.

Once construction begins, the campus community will be kept informed of impacts via emails and announcements in Western Today. As always, Facilities Development appreciates the community's flexibility and patience during the summer construction season and welcomes any suggestions on improving the information-dissemination process.
