Summer bus passes for faculty and staff go on sale June 5

Faculty and staff bus passes for summer quarter will go on sale Wednesday, June 5, and will be valid for use beginning June 24.

The cost is $40 for those who purchased an academic year pass in the fall, and $70 for those who did not.

There are several ways that eligible employees can purchase a bus pass:

Payroll Deduction: If eligible for payroll deduction, employees can submit a Viking Xpress Bus Pass Payroll Authorization esign form. Passes will be mailed to campus mailstops. Those electing to purchase through payroll deduction should ensure that they will be receiving paychecks throughout the summer, or payments are likely to fail.

Cashier’s Office or Online: Employees can mail (MS 9197), fax (360-650-2090) or drop off a paper bus pass request form in Viking Commons Room 25. Paper forms can be found online and in the office. After being notified that the form has been processed,  employees may pay at the Student Business Office in Old Main or online. Online payment is completed through CashNet on MyWestern and incurs a 2.75-percent convenience fee. Once payment is made, employees should notify the Sustainable Transportation Office by phone (360-650-7960) or email (transportation@wwu.edu) to receive the pass.
