Students to pitch sustainability ideas March 9

The Campus Sustainability Planning Studio class at Western Washington University is hands-on, problem-based learning opportunity through which student research teams help Western and the Bellingham community achieve sustainability goals.

Every quarter, students pitch their ideas to relevant stakeholders at a public presentation and facilitate a discussion about how to make Western more sustainable.

That event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, in Viking Union Room 565 B and C. Presentations will last for 45 minutes and will be followed by a reception hour, during which light refreshments will be served.

Projects showcasing this quarter:

  • Wind Powered Western
  • Zero Carbon Commitment
  • WWU Social Sustainability
  • Street Waste Clean-Up
  • Housing Sustainability Index
